Professional Experience & Track Record
Upon completion the LL.B Honours degree and thereafter the Certificate of Legal Practice, Richard Law commenced his chambering with Messrs K. S. Ong & Co, a firm which does primarily litigation under the guidance of Mr. Ong Keng Swee. When he completed his chambering, he continued to practice under the goodwill of Messrs K. S. Ong & Co.
From thereon, Richard Law moved on and joined Messrs Esther Ong Tengku Saiful & Sree as a Legal Assistant in 2005. As part of the team in this chamber, he was entrusted with the entire litigation department. He was subsequently promoted to a Partner in 2006. As of this day, he has experiences in a broad spectrum of legal works as follows: -
Conveyancing & Will-Writing Department
As an advocate and solicitor, he has never satisfied himself with only litigation matters and as such, he has never forgone his chances to gather experiences in conveyancing matter. On this spectrum of practice, he is also involved in drafting of agreement amongst others the sale and purchase of shares and company, guarantee and indemnity, licensing and franchising.
Corporate & Intellectual Properties Department
Messrs Esther Ong Tengku Saiful & Sree offers services of retainership. Being part of the team, Richard also constantly provides the clients with various legal opinions on agreements, correspondences to ensure the smooth operation and administration of their respective business entity.
Litigation & Employment Matters Department
Mr. Richard has exposure to civil litigation starting from rendering preliminary legal opinions, getting-up trial and conducting contested trial on areas involving Debt recovery, Insurance, Hire Purchase, Accident Claim, Property Claim (Late Delivery, Land Acquisition), Good Sold and Delivered, Estate (Probate and Administration), Shipping, Family Dispute (Divorce, Separation and Child Custody), Franchising and Licensing, Employment Disputes (both Employer and Employee).
Apart from the above, his practice further extend to the execution of court’s Order and Judgement by way of Winding Up Proceeding, Bankruptcy Proceeding, Judgement Debtor Summons and many others.
Civil Litigation
Richard's practice does not stop there as he is also involved in criminal litigation in cases on illegal possession and/or consumption of drugs, distribution contraband product in particular Visual Media such as VCD, DVD, and counterfeit currency.
